Feb 27, 2026Great little food court and shops, and Walmart next door
Feb 19, 2026We wondered into this food court to look at the food selection and it is pretty good. There is also an arcade like Chuck E Cheese connected to the food court. If it's a rainy day and the little ones are going crazy, this is the place to get some food and let the kids go crazy in the arcade.
Jan 14, 2026This shopping center has a neat little food court with several different options. You are sure to find something for even the pickiest of eaters. If all "she" ever orders is a chicken sandwich, I'm sure you can find it there. Parking here is a little tricky after all it is a shopping center with many shops.
Dec 14, 2025Ok, here we go! Waiakea center, formerly just a big pasture nestled with the landlord being "Hawaiian Homelands"!! This is what I call the "nerve & nervous center" where people and personalities collide into one big shopping arena!! Walmart, Ross, Target, Safeway, longs(CVS) etc. etc. etc! Plan a day, or a couple and grab a movie, pickup supplies, and cruise the ball and people watch! We welcome everyone as locals and we appreciate you coming to the "Big Island"!! Without tourist or tourism, no island could exist! Honest truth!! So, if you think that the local government and people don't appreciate, let me say on behalf of all, WE Appreciate you and it's always a pleasure!! Please, be safe and just check it out! I'm your local guide and he least I can do is steer you in the right direction!! If it isn't worth your time, I'll gaurantee give all my 100 percent knowledge! (Been there, done that)! Everyone enjoy and God bless!
Feb 23, 2026Got almost everything I needed, including some nice souvenirs to take back home. Not sure whether this is an English concept but I found certain things lacking (no decent sandwiches, salads or other "food to go", no fresh, in-store bakery to get a bread roll, as I would at an Asda or other supermarket in the UK). It was incredibly noisy during my visit on a Monday also. Some characters were dressed up, blowing horns etc at the front of store whilst collecting for charity.
Feb 10, 2026Walmart is there and the best shrimps to eat at the Hilo shrimp company located within the food court section of the mini strip mall on the side of Walmart. .mm ono!
Jan 05, 2026A really beautiful spot to watch the ocean. Turquoise blue sea crashing into the rocks. Tranquility at it best for me.
